D’ya remember Monday’s announcement that ABBA was the soundtrack of the day?
I swear to the gods in Valhalla that it wasn’t just Monday. It’s. Been. All. Frickin’. Week. ABBA. Nothing but ABBA. Well, for the most part. Like right now, I’m listening to Puccini’s La Bohème and I’ve done my fair share of listening to Paul McCartney (but not the Beatles), too. But for the most part, it’s been ABBA day in and day out. Driving to work, at work, driving home from work…I’m totally stuck on the third disc of the four disc boxed set released some fifteen years ago now. It’s always been my favorite of the four; the tracks are a bit darker and definitely more mature than the first and second discs, and although there are songs I love on all of them, it’s disc three I’m unable to tear myself away from.
