If it’s December, it’s time to pull this gem out and declare it as my favorite Christmas song ever (with KaTe’s “December Will Be Magic” running a close second).
And if it’s December, it’s time to remember Kirsty’s very untimely death yet again, this year for the eighth time. (Update: I thought she died in 2001, but I’ve remembered otherwise. It was 2000, so technically still the eighth time we’ve had to remember her tragic passing.)
Thanks to Andrew for the youtube link because (like I just said to him), I never think to look these types of things up for myself.

Wait, not Carol of the Bells? Carol of the Bells should be everyone’s favorite Xmas song!
This isn’t bad, though. :)
Isn’t this everyone’s fave Christmas song? ( Well, if it isn’t , it should be. ) Eight years since we lost Kirsty McColl? What a tragic waste.
Wes, what is Carol of the Bells you speak of? I keep thinking TUBULAR Bells when I read the song title!
Cerebus, I agree – FoNY should be everyone’s favorite, or at least in the top three (to round out my top three, I declare “Christmas Wrapping” by the Waitresses to be the third). I still remember getting my sister’s phone call that horrible day. I thought she was joking. I’ve cried many tears at SoHo Square for Kirsty. Seems the right place to do so, I suppose.
