I’m not terribly fond of April Fool’s Day (and never have been, really), except for this. Today truly is the Day of the Clown!
My vacation has been approved and I am cleared for take-off to spend the 40th with the niecettes and still have a long weekend to enjoy when I get back.
The Elvgren calendar the sister gave me for Christmas is a bit off; April’s image is a lovely pinup (complete with pointy tits and thigh-high stockings) putting up a sign that says VOTE over a little shelf where a stuffed animal donkey and elephant sit. Wouldn’t that be more appropriate for November?
Speaking of calendars, the Companion calendar I created features Liz this month, in one of my favorite shots from Doctor Who and the Silurians. And surprise! There’s not a short skirt or knee-high leather boot to be seen. I just love how she’s resting her head on the Doctor’s arm because she’s so damn tired from sciencing all night. It’s very sweet, I think.
Plus, I just love Liz, no matter what.

And finally, this is one of those mornings where I’m not terribly concerned about getting to work on time. And this time, I might actually be a few minutes late.
No, no, not the new undergarments I bought last night.
This is what makes a girl feel good about herself and gives her quite a few ideas of photo shoots involving the Fifty Foot Physicist, Pussy Galore (who’s never even been taken out of the original packaging…four years since she was carted back from London in a suitcase), and Killjoy.
